Hello, I’m James. Thank you for visiting my website.
I spent most of my life working in the investigative field of the security and intelligence community, and now live a quieter – but not too quiet – life in West Sussex. I have a keen interest in history and my writing heroes are Frederick Forsyth and John le Carré.
How did I become a writer? It’s quite simple, really. A few years ago I was in an airport trying to find a good story to read on my long-haul flight. I’d read all of the Forsyths, le Carrés and MacCleans the WH Smiths had in stock, and the others just didn’t grab my attention.
I thought to myself: why not write the story you want to read? So I did! And then I wrote another. I can only hope that you enjoy reading my spy novels as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.
